The 2025 IGSSA Volleyball season came to a spectacular close on Saturday 5th April, with the Senior A and Middle A Grand Finals delivering high-quality competition and memorable moments to wrap up the summer season.
In the Senior A Grand Final, Immanuel secured a historic 2-0 victory over a strong Concordia side. The match was a showcase of talent and resilience, with Concordia demonstrating composure and skill throughout. However, Immanuel proved too powerful on the day, claiming their first Senior A Volleyball Shield in 21 years — a long-awaited and well-deserved triumph for the team.
The Middle A Grand Final featured Seymour taking on Immanuel. Both teams entered the final undefeated in their pools in the regular season, setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash. Seymour delivered a commanding performance, continuing their season-long dominance by finishing as undefeated champions.
These two exceptional matches marked the conclusion of the IGSSA summer sport season. Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and schools for an outstanding season of volleyball.
After a well-earned break, attention will soon shift to the IGSSA winter sports season, with netball, football, soccer, badminton, and hockey all set to commence shortly!
