The 2024 IGSSA Winter Season has officially come to a close, marking another outstanding season of school sport. This year saw incredible participation, with over 3,500 students competing across our member and affiliate schools. With more than 321 teams taking to the courts and fields in netball, football, soccer, badminton, and hockey, the season was filled with thrilling matches, outstanding sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments.
One of the key highlights of the season was the high level of competition across all divisions. Schools showcased their talent, teamwork, and dedication, making every match a testament to the strength of girls’ school sport. From closely contested netball finals to fierce battles on the football and soccer fields, every sport had its standout performances and emerging stars.
Beyond the competition, the IGSSA Winter Season continues to provide a platform for young athletes to develop leadership, resilience, and a lifelong love of sport. Coaches, staff, and volunteers played a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for all participants, fostering an environment where students could thrive both on and off the field.
